In the eight years we have been managing buildings we now manage six Grade II listed buildings. We love these beautiful buildings and all the challenges they give us. The history and stories behind them are something we try and celebrate and show visitors or residents to that building.
Maintenance of a listed building
When we take on a listed building, we in partnership with our nominated surveyor will put together a list of works required in the short, mid, and long term. This will then be budgeted over a period of years. Once the initial works are finished, we will then put in place a rolling maintenance program.
This is all done with expert help from surveyors and contractors with experience in these types of buildings. Work programs and alterations are done with approval from the local authority and English Heritage if required. We fully understand the need to use the correct materials and techniques on these projects and this is reflected in the work we have already done.
